Welcome little Megan Elizabeth – Special Prayer Request

Last weekend I had the pleasure of creating some beautiful motherhood portraits of Melissa. This morning I get a call from her and Megan Elizabeth was born last night. Melissa is doing fine, but Megan Elizabeth was premature and is on a ventilator. I strongly believe in the power of prayer, so I am asking that you take a moment and say a pray for little Megan Elizabeth and keep her in your thoughts over the next couple of weeks.

I am so glad we were able to do the session last Saturday and I a, excited to meet Megan Elizabeth in person. Sounds like she is going to be a lot like her mom (lol); she just could not wait to enter this world.

Take care little Megan Elizabeth and welcome.

It's A Girl!

What a perfect Mother's Day gift for Emily, her second little angel Nora Kate made her entrance into this world last night. I had the pleasure to go by the hospital and meet little Nora this morning and do some images of her. I have been photographing Kenny, Emily and Ella before Ella was even born. Now it was so special to go see Nora and photograph her.

Nora is so cute. She looks just like her big sis and Ella is going to make a great big sis. It seems like yesterday we were just photographing their motherhood images.

Celebrate, Remember & Fight Back!

There is probably no one that has not been affected by cancer. I personally have lost family members and dear friends. Relay For Life has always been something dear to me. I have always tried to support it in any way I could. Rather that be through walking all night, buying the RFL wrist bands or just simply donating.

This year you can help me support the effort to beat cancer. For a small donation of only $50 you can receive a portrait session and an 8x10. All you have to do is call me and make a check directly out to Relay For Life or American Cancer Society. We can do this session any time you want to. If you have a place of business that would be willing to post the flyer above, please let me know. I will be glad to bring it to you.

So why am I doing this? Her name was Daisy Carswell, my grandmother. She was one of the most important persons in my life. Her memory and the many lessons she taught me still are. She lost her battle with cancer in June of 1996. I still miss her. One day maybe we won’t have to loose anyone else to cancer.

On May 16th and 17th, the RFL event in Valdese will take place at the Old Rock School. Events start at 6pm that Friday night. I will be there and I hope you will too.

Log onto http://www.ncrelayforlife.org/ for more information on Relay For Life and call the studio if you have any questions about the portrait special.

Thank you for your help in beating cancer.
Denise

Congrats Kelly!

What fun we had during this session. Kelly came in for her senior portrait session and it was a total blast. She is such a fun and lovely young lady. Definitely pretty as her smile both inside and out.
Kelly will be graduating soon from Freedom and heading off to college. I am not sure where she is going to put all of those shoes in a dorm room, but I know she will figure something out. Good luck Kelly and congrats! Remember, if your senior portrait is not how you want to remember yourself in 20 years then it is not too late to get the portraits you want. Just give me a call and we can create your images.

Megan and Snuggle

This is a little note I received from Megan's mom, Jennifer about Megan's fun with the bunnies.

Dear Denise,

I wanted to thank you for making Megan feel so comfortable and at ease when she comes to your studio to have her picture taken. This is reflected in the quality of your pictures and is why we keep coming back to have our treasured memories of her captured on your camera.

On Megan's most recent trip to your studio she was able to have her picture taken with a brown bunny named Snuggle. Megan fell so in love with this bunny that we bought her a stuffed brown bunny which she named Snuggle. She now sleeps with this bunny every night. Thanks again for taking the time to make the "picture taking process" a fun event for our little one.

Sincerely,

Jennifer
